The first synopsis I wrote was very different. Then I updated it and posted it here as well as in my pages based on information I received. After I reviewed that synopsis on the e-book blurb, I learned that you only had 400 characters available to you. Thus a new synopsis that I hope readers will find enticing enough to buy my book.
When a hooded man steps in front of her car, Missie is thrust through a portal into a medieval world where she encounters monsters and mythical creatures. Here her flute has magical powers to heal and destroy and to empower, "The Treasures of Carmelidrium." She is romanced by a prince and hunted by the villain. Will she find her way home? Does she want to?
Missie is a gifted flutist in her final year at the University of Colorado. Despite her talent, she questions her abilities, instinctively knowing that something is missing. An unexpected spring blizzard blurs her vision as she is driving home for spring break. When a cloaked man appears in the middle of the road, she nearly collides into him. He points a staff at her and she is propelled through a portal into a medieval world.
There, in Gil-Lael, a messenger informs her that her music will heal the people and interfere with dark magic. She’s heard some pretty wild stories before, but nothing like this. Before she knows it, she is pressed into a bizarre plan to defeat Renwyk by playing her flute. When her life is threatened by the symberveen; Prince Healden rescues her and becomes her protector. She can’t deny his charm and appeal, but Missie is used to ignoring men in order to concentrate on her music career. The question remains, will she ever get back to America? Does she really want to?
The Treasures of Carmelidrium is the first high fantasy in a series of books.
